Modern Sophistication in East Village

Carl, president and principal interior designer of Wesley-Wayne Interiors, is inspired every day by the blank canvases provided to him by his clients, using his interior design skills to bring their tastes in décor and design to life. But with this project, one that is very personal to him, Carl’s only limitation was his own desires. Carl fell in love with this up and coming East Village neighborhood when he purchased his current home just down the street in 2015.

Bought as an investment property, the Deere Street home is the second home Carl purchased in this Dallas neighborhood and the structure is a duplicate of the home he lives in. Now an Airbnb rental, this two-story modern build has lots of natural lighting and vast white walls complimented by concrete flooring. Carl’s love of art shows throughout the home with art pieces that pop in contrast to the white walls and natural lighting.

Although the architecture is contemporary and the overall design is modern and sophisticated, the use of color and key accessories make this home feel warm and inviting.
